We’re excited to introduce Codee 2025.3. This release brings new capabilities to enhance modernization, correctness, security, portability, and optimization in high-performance simulation software. This version brings improvements to both Codee Analyzer and Codee Formatter, offering greater accuracy, flexibility, and advanced support for Fortran and C/ C++ development— including initial support for Fixed-Form Fortran formatting.
What’s New
Codee Analyzer
- New HTML report: The new –html option now combines the Screening and Check reports into a more accessible and visually clear format.
- Improved Fortran support: Better handling of advanced constructs, compiler-specific extensions, Intel dependencies, and enhanced analysis of I/O functions and assumed-shape arrays.
- More control over checks: New –no-check-id option to selectively disable specific checkers, plus a new –security flag to enable CWE-based security checks.
- Other improvements: Improved compiler support (AMD Optimizing C/C++ and Fortran Compilers (AOCC)), and updated Bear for improved compatibility.
Codee Formatter
- Initial support for Fixed-Form Fortran format: Added support for Fixed-Form statement labels and a new style option to align them.
- Other updates: improved line wrapping with a smarter ColumnLimit algorithm, advanced alignment options, new MacroIdentifiers style, better performance and error handling, and fixes for indentation and formatting edge cases.
⚠️Try Fixed-Form support now during the alpha phase — get early access before it becomes exclusive to licensed users!
